Robert E. Fleischmann

Robert Edward "Honest Bob" Fleischmann, 77, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024 @ 1:41 pm at Cridersville Nursing Home. Bob was born on December 19, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to Robert Fleischmann and Louella (Wright) Harmon who preceded him in death.
Bob was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Through his adult life, he worked as a union painter-working many years at the Lima Refinery. According to him he was a jack of all trades and a master of all of them.
Bob was the life of the party, could tell the best stories and always had a good joke. Growing up working on a golf course, he always enjoyed the sport-both playing and watching. Bob also enjoyed fishing, shooting a game of pool and claimed to be a chess master.
Bob was previously married to the late Kathleen (Neeper) Fleischmann and from this marriage, he leaves behind his three children: daughter Diane Jennings and sons Robert Fleischmann and Joseph Fleischmann, all of Lima. Grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Jessie Fleischmann and Jakob Jennings, all of Lima.
Additionally, he leaves behind his sister, Sandra (Mick) Stout of South Charleston, Ohio, and brothers, Danny (Chris) Fleischman of Lima, and Doug (Carol) Fleischmann of DeGraff, Ohio.
In addition to his parents Bob was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Harmon.
The children of Robert Fleischmann would like to personally and publicly thank their uncle Danny Fleischman for love and care that he has given to their father throughout the years that went above and beyond the normal call of duty. Thank you for not only being the best brother to him but also his best friend.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. Bob will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a later date.
