Robert J. Fleming, Jr., of Munhall, passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 77.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years of Angela (Strasick) Fleming; loving father of Jamie (John) Ramsey and Megan (Jason) Moss; adoring grandfather of Lauren (Tanner Steinkopf) Moody, Emma Moss, and Elisabeth Moss; son of the late Robert J. Fleming, Sr., and Barb (Roach) Fleming; brother of Terri S. (David) Middleton, Kellie Fleming, and the late Jack H. (Helen survives) Fleming, and the late Blaine P. "Pat" Fleming; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews, and friends.
Bob was a proud Army Veteran of Vietnam, where he served as a paratrooper in the 173rd Airborne. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart medal. Above all, Bob loved his family and especially enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Blessing Services will be held at 6 PM. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 14, 10 AM, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Everyone please meet at the Cemetery no later than 9:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans, Inc., (vietnamveteransinc.com).

I´m so sorry to hear about Bob! We went to Gladstone High and were lifelong friends. Even though we did not see eye to eye on some issues, we listened to each other and `agreed to disagree´ on some things! Bob was my HERO throughout life, from covering each others backs in high school, to commiserating after his return from VietNam.
I´m at a loss for words, we spoke upon his return from his recent stroke, often trading short texts.
