Timothy Christopher Fleming passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and hard work.
He was born in Worcester, MA, grew up in Shrewsbury, and was the son of the late Timothy P. Fleming and the late Barbara A. (Folger) Fleming. He leaves his wife Vera E. Fleming (Chapman) and his son Sean David Fleming, his sisters, Christine Fleming of Wales and Deborah Sampson (her husband Timmy) of Hubbardston, he was preceded in death by his brother John Fleming, leaving many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Tim graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1981. In 1995, he married the love of his life, Vera, with whom he shared over 29 years of joy, laughter, and unwavering companionship.
A devoted employee, Tim worked for over 30 years with Ostrow Electric giving his all to his job. His tireless work ethic was evident in his commitment to not just one, but two jobs. He was thrilled to be the foreman on the Polar Park Project, home of the Worcester WooSox before his well-earned retirement. Tim was always known as one of the hardest workers around, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tim's greatest pride and joy was his son, Sean. He took immense joy in being an active part of Sean's life, never missing a school event or sporting activity. His devotion as a father was unmatched, and he cherished every moment spent with his family.
Outside of his professional life, Tim had a variety of passions that brought him happiness. He was an avid Bruins fan, frequently attending games, and he loved racing at Thompson with his close-knit group of friends from Shrewsbury and Millbury. Tim also found joy in scuba diving with friends aboard his boat in the waters off Gloucester, Newburyport and Rockport, family vacations, especially those spent fishing on Cape Cod and exploring the beauty of Florida. He enjoyed all of the Chapman parties around the holidays; he especially loved all of the homemade Chapman food but most of all his wife's cooking.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tim's family between 8:30 and 10 AM on Saturday August 16th at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral Mass will follow at 10:30, and will be celebrated at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, with burial to follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

Tim will be sorely missed by us. Bri and Tim became very close as he accompanied Tim to his appointments in Boston for chemo treatments and tried to serve as a beacon of hope during his treatments. His laughter will be missed as we had many memories of vacationing with Tim, Vera and Sean at the Cape. Rest in peace Tim. We will forever remember your generosity and kindness.
