The Fletcher family were wonderful neighbors that lived across the street from us. Mr. Fletcher was always such a kind man and he had a beautiful nectarine tree in his yard that he would pick nectarines from every year and bring a beautiful basket of them over to my mom so that she could prepare a pie and she always made him one also to say thanks. He has been missed and so has Dale ever since they moved from their location in Richland. The new neighbors are a sweet family, and I shared the nectarine story with them and so now I receive a basket of nectarines when they are ripe. It was my honor to know the family.

Robert Fletcher was the Principal at Vista Elementary School in Kennewick, when I first started teaching at Vista in 1981. He was such a pleasant, positive, and supportive person. He instilled confidence in all his staff. He was a favorite person in my life and teaching career.
