It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert E. Floerke, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2025 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. He was 86 years old. Robert was born to the late Paul and Martha Floerke on December 8th, 1938, in Saginaw, MI. Robert (Bob) was a proud 50 year member of the Local 85 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He also served his country in the US Army in the 11th and 82nd airborne battalion. But his true legacy lies in the love and memories he shared with his family.
Bob is survived by one brother, Kenneth J (Jane) Floerke of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradley P. Floerke and Marvin J. Floerke of Saginaw, MI. He leaves behind three living children: Patrick Floerke, Dawn (Shayne) Souza, Toni Floerke, and his deceased son Michael Floerke, all loved equally and unconditionally. His grandchildren: Jamie, Jana, Darrah, Nic, Nicole; his great grandchildren: Isla, Axel, Nalani, Kiani, Ezrah and Elyjah and many nieces and nephews. Robert's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved him, but comfort is found knowing that he is finally pain free. He will be remembered for his integrity, quick wit, sharp mind, wealth of knowledge, and unwavering character. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will be cherished and live on through all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
A private service and celebration of life was held. For those he shared his life with, who wish an expression of sympathy, he asked that you please consider your charity of choice.
