Robert was born on January 27, 1969, to Alberto Florez and Dora Guzman, in Denver City, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Denver City and graduated from DCISD in 1988. Robert was a supervisor for J&S oilfield where he had been employed.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Florez, and his stepfather Johnny Gonzales.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Dora Gonzales; brother, Alberto Florez Jr.; three sisters, Diana Galvan (Armando), Linda Gonzales (David), and Rachel Pillai (Selva) all of Denver City; nephews Armando Galvan (Miranda), David Gonzales Jr. (Lilly), Nathaniel Pillai, Chris Gonzales, Jeremy Gonzales; nieces, Amy Baker (Kye), Zandra Ontiveros (Robert), and Xylena Pillai (Pat Pallarez).
