My most heartfelt condolences to you for your loss. I knew him as Big Rob, and he was an amazing character to count as a friend. Friendly, funny, charismatic, and most of all warm. Years passed and contact lost, but he was an indelible, unforgettable man. We'll be telling his stories for years to come, and toasting to his memory. Here's to you, Big Rob. Godspeed.

I hated talking on the phone but you made it fun, those late night online chats were a blast, and gifts back and forth through the mail something to look forward to. It was like I saw you in person everyday back then. You made that period of my life better. You touched more lives than you knew and will continue to do so. Ramble on, Rob.

Dear Rob,
I won't forget your wit, your humor and your way with words. I am sad beyond words that you are no longer in this world but I hope you are at peace.

Rob introduced my husband, Noah, and I to the food, culture and beauty that is NOLA on our very first trip there in the late 1990s, which led to our having gatherings there for our internet friends and family for the next decade. He was always generous and loving to everyone he met and was a great ambassador and friend. I called him, with his consent, my Cajun Teddy Bear. Our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family (Karen, we grieve with you all). He will be deeply missed.
