Robert A. "Bobby" Forest, age 54, passed away peacefully at his home with loved ones by his side on Monday, March 24, 2025. Born in Malden on November 11, 1970, Bobby was the son of the late Angelina Forest (Veleva) and John A. Forest, both of South Weymouth (formerly of Braintree). Bobby was raised in Dorchester and then Braintree. He also resided in Northampton and most recently, Plymouth.
In addition to being survived by his father, John, Bobby is also survived by his sister Chrissy Gavrailov and her husband Mitko, of South Weymouth. He also leaves behind his niece and nephew, Natalie and Evan Gavrailov, of South Weymouth. Bobby was blessed to have several caregivers who provided him with exceptional care in his home and treated him like family. One of his caregivers, Karla Callahan, of Plymouth shared a particularly close bond with Bobby; he was incredibly fortunate to have her unwavering care and devotion. The relationship he shared with Karla and his other caregivers (including but not limited to) Steven, Kylie, Nicole, Brooke, David, and Sarah is a testament to the power of love and dedication.
Despite his physical limitations, Bobby lived a life full of love and laughter. Bobby was a gentle soul whose infectious smile could brighten up any room. He was known for being carefully observant and could melt your heart with his soft and loving gaze. During his final months, Bobby faced his illness courageously and with grace. Bobby will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Bobby on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4-6 pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.)
