Robert "Bob" Forristal Sr. ObituaryRobert "Bob" Forristal Sr., of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Born on May 14, 1959, in Cleveland, Bob was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Rita Forristal (née Hearn).
Bob was the loving father of Robert "Bobby" Forristal Jr.; adored grandfather of Hope, Faith, and Gracie Forristal; and cherished godfather of Stephanie Ziemak. He was the dear brother of James (Jane) Forristal, Terry Ziemak, and Barbara Litwinick, and a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Joseph "Jeff" Forristal Jr., Russell Forristal, Leonard "Tiny" Forristal, Dee Clarke, and Mickey Prekler; and by his beloved nieces and nephews Nicole Ziemak, Jennell Forristal, Paul Clarke, Caitlyn Costner, and Alex Forristal.
Bob was a hardworking man who took great pride in what he did. He spent many years at Ohio Rubber until its closing and later became a familiar face at the Sunoco Station on Vine Street in Willoughby, where he worked faithfully up until his passing.
Bob was truly one of a kind-with a huge heart and a generous spirit. He loved classic cars, Westerns, and cowboy movies, and could often be found shooting pool at Skelly's, where he made countless memories with friends, right up until the day it closed. Ever the optimist, he always believed he'd hit it big with the Ohio Lottery someday. In quieter moments, he enjoyed word searches and the simple things in life, but his happiest times were always spent with family.
Bob will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the laughter he brought will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. A prayer service will take place at 5:00 PM, with Fr. Tim Plavac officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, November 17, at 11:00 AM at Willoughby Cemetery.
