Robert E. Fortin

Attleboro – Robert E. Fortin, passed away on his 76 birthday, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Seccareccia) Fortin for 55 loving years. Together Bob and Barbara would have celebrated their 56 anniversary on April 23. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Arcade R. and Dorothy (Walters) Fortin.
Bob was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He later earned his bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University and went on to a career as the assistant controller at Brown University.
Bob enjoyed sailing and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. Bob will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past seventy-six years.
Besides his wife, Bob leaves two daughters, Robin Loffler and her husband, Michael, of North Stonington, CT, and Lesley Carr and her husband, Andrew, of Hollis, NH, and four beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Abbey, and Sydney. He was the brother of the late Sylvia Fortin.
Services and interment at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, will be private. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Northeast, P. O.
