Robert Lee Futch, born March 15, 1933, in Jasper, FL, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. He was the beloved son of Fred and Eunice Futch. Robert led a remarkable life filled with dedication, love, and a profound passion for computers.
After proudly serving in the Marine Corps, Robert embarked on a career path that would define much of his life. He delved into the world of computer programming, a field that was still in its infancy during his time. Robert was a graduate of Rawlings College in Winter Park, FL, where he honed his skills and knowledge in computer science. His innovative spirit and unwavering commitment to technology paved the way for his success.
In 1961, Robert found his true partner in life when he married Glenda Jean Land. Together, they shared a bond that spanned 60 wonderful years, cherishing each moment and overcoming life's challenges hand in hand. Robert's dedication to his family was unwavering, and his love for Glenda was a beacon of strength and support throughout their lives.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Jean Futch, his daughters Tina Renee Clapper (Dale) of Wayco, GA, and Victoria LeeAnn Futch of Titusville, FL, along with four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, William Randolph "Randy" Futch, whose memory he cherished dearly.
A visitation to celebrate Robert's life will be held on Thursday, February 15th, at 1:00 p.m. at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
