Robert Louis Ganz

Tecumseh – Robert L. Ganz, age 86, of Tecumseh, formerly of Dearborn, MI, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Cambrian Assisted Living Memory Care. Robert was born on October 31, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to John A. and Mary (Nikolitsch) Ganz Sr. He graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit. Robert also attended the Cass Tech tool making courses and the Fisher Body Apprentice program. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve. Robert worked as a Tool Maker with General Motors / Fisher Body until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit.
Robert is survived by his nephews Paul M. Ganz, Eric R. Ganz, and John J. Komar; great-nephews Patrick D. Morris and Jeff Komar; and great-nieces, Sheralyn, Jeanette Ganz, and Kathryn Battock. He is preceded by his parents, brother John A Ganz Jr; and sister Barbara Komarynski.
Visitation for Robert will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00AM, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bryan Varblow officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Tecumseh American Legion Honor Guard. Graveside services will held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the Woodmere Cemetery, 9400 W. Fort Street, in Detroit, Michigan.
