Robert Darold Genge, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, in Kawkawlin, Michigan, at the age of 69. Born on August 7, 1954, in Bay City, Michigan, Robert's life was marked by his unwavering kindness, generosity, and the love he held for his family and friends.
Robert proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force before continuing his service in the National Guard. His dedication to his country was a testament to his strong character and his commitment to the values he held dear. A man of many interests, Robert had a particular love for exotic animals, music, art, and collecting and working on cars. His passion for these hobbies brought him great joy and offered a glimpse into his creative and curious nature. Friends and family often found themselves engaged in lively card games or playful competitions, as Robert loved to play cards and games, always ensuring those around him were having as much fun as he was.
Robert's journey began as the son of the late Elwood and Ardella (Carlson) Genge and grew up surrounded by the warmth of his siblings. His memory will be forever honored by his children and grandchildren, his siblings, Vicky (Samuel) Davidson, Lynn (James) Campbell, Floyd (Jennifer) Genge, and Joannie (Tom) Ogden, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, will carry on his legacy of love and compassion. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sherry Greenleaf, his parents, his brother Rick Genge, and his grandparents.
