Mr Robert N. "Mose" Glass

Robert (Mose) N. Glass, 88, of Chambersburg passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on December 2, 1936, in Chambersburg. He was the son of the late Moses M. and Hazel M. (Schellhase) Glass.
Bob attended Chambersburg Area High School. He loved baseball and played locally in the Franklin County leagues. His talents were recognized, and he was given the opportunity to sign as a utility player with Kansas City Athletics for two years in their system. Following his baseball draft he played for the Chambersburg Maroons. He was an avid Yankees fan. He retired from Nitterhouse where he worked through the ranks to become their Plant Manager, Block Division. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Lions Club, and served on the board at the Greene Township Municipal Authority.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith Glass whom he married on January 28, 1967; and four children, Reginald Glass, Melody Glass, Robert Glass II (wife Tanya), Kathy Spahr (husband Denny); three grandchildren, Amanda Black (husband Todd), Brandon Glass, Tyler Duke (wife Meagan) and six great grandchildren, Raeann and Eli Black, and Natalie, Brianne, Clayton, and Ellinore Duke; and one sister, Anna Rae Morsberger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Roxann M. Glass, granddaughter, Crystal Haulman, brother, Moses L. Glass, and two sisters, Patricia Schroth, Darlene Burkholder.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Sellers Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Cook officiating. Interment will be private.
