Robert Lee (Bobby) Glover 93 years of age, born April 20, 1931 from Lonoke Arkansas passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025. He was welcomed with open arms in to heaven to a joyous celebration by so many dear family members & loved ones which had passed before him. Bobby previously resided at StoneBridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs AR. For the past year he was so lovingly cared for by members of Arkansas Hospice Care & staff at the facility.

Bobby was born in Eldorado, AR to parents Roy H. Glover Sr (NeeNaw), Lois Fawcett Glover (MawMaw) & older brother Roy H. Glover Jr (HoHo) all whom have preceded him in passing. Bobby went to North Little Rock Arkansas Ole Main High School where he was very active in all sports, Football QB, Track/Field, Softball/Baseball, Bowling, etc. Was also active in their school drama club participating in many plays.

Bobby had honorably served as member of Arkansas Air Force National Guard for 40+ years and achieved a rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was a dedicated employee over 38+ years before retirement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where a key achievement, he assisted in the development of Greers Ferry Lake & Dam in Heber Springs.

While spending over 50 years in Lonoke, he was an active member of Lonoke First United Methodist church where he served on various councils/boards to help improve & add on to the facility. He did the same for his childhood country farm area church Bethlehem United Methodist & Salem Cemetery.

Everyone who knew Bobby would say he “was one of a kind, there were no others like him!” He was a kind, caring, loving, compassionate person that would do anything to help care/comfort/assist & support anyone…especially his family, friends & loved ones! He was the first one who would roll up his sleeves & jump in to help. Also would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. This was so evident by the many community, local & state awards/accolades he received over the course of his wonderful life.

He was passionate about roses & gardening at his home in Lonoke where he proudly would tell you he was awarded Yard of the Month! He immensely loved traveling, hunting/fishing, cooking, BBQ/smoking, shrimp boils & fish frying in his backyard pergola area. Bobby loved watching all sports on TV & you would never find a more dedicated Arkansas Razorback fan! He faithfully would cheer them on and would always be seen wearing his Razorback fan gear.

He was preceded in death by his previous wives: Lucy Faye (Simmons) Glover & Willie Pearl (Lock) Glover. His surviving children: Gina Lea Webb (Randy Webb) Essex, MT, Robert Lon “Lonny” Glover Heber Springs, AR & Dana Ann Glover Lonoke, AR.

Grandchildren: Virginia “Jenny” LeAnn Webb-Pekelnicky (Robert George “Bob” Pekelnicky ) San Francisco, CA, Elizabeth “Lizzie” LeAnn Webb (Scoob Decker) Kila, MT, Michael Lee Glover Lonoke AR. Great grandchildren: Edward Neal (Teddy) & Eden Lois Elizabeth Pekelnicky. Stepson: Paul Edward Lock (Christina Ann Lock) Houston, TX. Step Grandchildren: Kathleen Holmes Lock Austin, TX & Robert Louis Lock Houston, TX. Also so many other nieces, nephews, cousins, 2nd cousins, family, friends & loved ones….too many to be listed.
