On Saturday, July 16th 2022, Robert Gene Golden, age 47, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Robbie was born October 30th 1974 to Ann and Pat Golden in Denton, TX.
Robbie married Melinda Hesse Golden on November 17th, 2018. They enjoyed traveling and camping together. Robbie also enjoyed hunting and playing golf with his buddies and was a huge sports fan. In earlier years he coached youth football and baseball.
He is survived by wife Melinda Golden; children, Chase Golden, Lane Golden and step-daughter Rileigh Nelson; his mother Dorothy Ann Golden, brother Pat Golden Jr. and wife Shawn, brother Jimmy Spykes and wife Liz, sister-in-law Carol Chapman and husband Bryce, sister-in-law Jenny Hayes and husband Robby and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pat Lane Golden Sr., grandfather Robert Miller and grandmother Geneva "Mama Gene" Miller.
Honorary pallbearers include: Lane Golden, Chase Golden, Robby Hayes, Bryce Chapman, Jimmy Gantt, Victor Drayton, Cole Lee and Trevan Fenner.
Memorial service will be held Friday July 22nd, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton, TX.
