Robert Scott Gregorash, 58, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital. The son of Robert E. Gregorash and Joan (Whobrey) Gregorash, Scott was born on March 4, 1966 in Gary, IN.

Scott graduated from North Newton High School with the class of 1984. He would then go on to attend Ivy Tech studying his lifelong career field of Maintenance Engineering. Scott was a dedicated member of the team at Dometic Corporation in Elkhart working as a Maintenance Supervisor.

At the heart and soul of every gathering, Scott was the force that brought people together. Whether it was the Annual Memorial Day Party or showing others a Gregorash Family Christmas, he instilled the importance of close family relationships in those he loved. He proudly raised two daughters, Brittany and Elizabeth and gained a third, Jennifer, when he met Cindymae Forsythe. They would celebrate almost 14 years together after their first date that never ended. Scott found even more joy when he became a grandfather.

Over the years, Scott volunteered at the Polk and Lincoln Township Fire Departments. In his free time, he looked forward to going to the dirt track to race his stock car #38. This was a family affair that he anxiously awaited each year. He also enjoyed camping, coordinating cornhole or horseshoe tournaments, watching NASCAR on Sundays, or just sitting on his front porch. Scott was happiest when he was outside doing the things that he loved.

His family lovingly remembers him for his many projects that he made throughout the years. Whether it be repurposing something or repairing what was broken, Scott was always tinkering. He would even fix things up just to give them to someone in need. A man of many talents, Scott wasn’t just knowledgeable, he valued sharing his knowledge with others to help them continuously grow. He was known for his heart of gold and will always be remembered as the big, loving teddy bear of the family.

Scott will be deeply missed by his fiancé, Cindymae Forsythe; children, Brittany (Robert) Dieterly, Elizabeth (Trent – AKA: Timmay) Ludington, and Jennifer (Kenneth) Hendricks; grandchildren, Robert, Andrew, Logan, Scarlett, Clayton, Shawn, Georgia, and Thomas; siblings, Joseph (Faith) Gregorash and Dawn (Rich) Crowe; sister-in-law, Chris Gregorash; favorite niece, Nikki Hall; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Scott will also be missed by his faithful companion, Butch.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joan; daughter, Cassandra Gregorash; and siblings, Bill, Mike and Jerry.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4-7PM with a service held at 6PM at Osceola Grace Church, 58343 S Apple Rd, Osceola, IN 46561.
