Robert M. Gums

Robert M. Gums, age 95, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk. Bob was born in Rib Lake, WI, on April 16, 1929, to the late Walter and Jenny (Banks) Gums. He was married to the love of his life, Sandra Johnson, on August 28, 1950; she passed away on May 29, 2022.
Bob owned and operated Gums Painting Service for many years; a job he was truly proud of. He was a snowmobile enthusiast in his younger years and enjoyed spending time outside. As he grew older, Bob spent hours working on and framing jigsaw puzzles and meticulously building model airplanes which he would display in his basement. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving husband to his wife, missing her immensely after her passing.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula (Jody) Gebauer, of Tomahawk, WI. He is further survived by his granddaughters, Samantha, Sara, Jessica, and Megan. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jenny; his wife, Sandra; his sons, Craig and Mark; and his brothers, Gerald and Glen.
Private graveside services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
