Robert C. Hand

Robert C. Hand, age 71 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Somerset, NJ, September 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Norman and Anne Marie Tolischus Hand. Robert was incredibly dedicated to Hunterdon County, NJ, specifically Flemington, and resided in the county for the bulk of his life.
Bob was an incredibly loyal family man and was no stranger to adversity. Born with a severe heart condition, he often missed out on a large sum of his childhood. However, this did not stop him, he grew into a strong and hardworking man who trained horses, became an amazing chef, and later the purchasing manager at the Nassau Inn in Princeton, which he was very proud of. During his life he overcame open heart surgery at four and fourteen years old, conquered two heart valve transplants, many hospitalizations, and was a cancer survivor. He was a strong fighter and will always be remembered as such. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and loved to cook. A Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan, Robert enjoyed studying and learning about United States history.
Surviving are his loving wife of fifteen years Cheryl Hand; two daughters, Crystal Anne Hand of Randleman, NC and Danielle Leigh Wolfson of Philadelphia, PA; four siblings, Kathleen E. Hand of Clinton, NJ, Maureen E. Hand of Lebanon, NJ, Norman G. Hand of Mt. Arlington, NJ and Kyle W. Hand of Milford, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
