Robert Harris Obituary

Born Friday, June 18, 1954 (the year of Brown Vs. Board of Education), in Hagerstown, MD, he was the second oldest son of the late Jacqueline (Burnett) Harris and the late Robert "Bobby" Harris, Sr.
Robert attended North St. School and helped to integrate Woodland Way School. He attended North Hagerstown High School and summer programs at Mercersburg Academy. He completed electronic assembly classes and other manufacturing skills. He last employment was with Mack/Volvo, retiring in 2020.
His many interests were music, Civil War and WWII, history and civil rights for all.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty, his son, James, his sister, Donna Harris, his brothers, David "Bird", Jerry and Steven.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony "Tone" Harris.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 12:00 pm, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, October 9, 2025, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Inurnment will be held privately.
Memorial donations can be made to the Marsh Cancer Center or to the Brothers United Who Dare to Care.
