John McCaffrey Obituary

John Rudolph McCaffrey, 58, of Avonmore, passed away on Jan. 17, 2026. Born July 12, 1967, in Washington, DC. He was the son of Patrick (deceased) and Julia Rudolph McCaffrey. He graduated from Kiski Area High School in 1985 and attended Mercersburg Academy and the University of Pittsburgh. He owned and operated ALX, a package delivery company, as well as worked with his family in the steel industry. He looked forward to becoming a grandfather this year. In addition to his father, Patrick, John was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel (Margie). He is survived by his daughters, Alexis (James) Von Esslinger and Ashleigh McCaffrey; his loving friend and companion, Gina Alisippi; his sister, Carolyn (Dennis) Loaskie; his brother, Patrick (Anne) McCaffrey; his brother, Michael (Maureen) McCaffrey; his brother, Kevin (Kristine) McCaffrey; and his nieces and nephews, Marie Loaskie, Erin (Francisco) Crespo, Peter (Jennifer) McCaffrey, William McCaffrey, Fiona McCaffrey, Siobhan (Andrew) Mitchell, Michael McCaffrey Jr., Claire McCaffrey, Samuel (Alexandra) McCaffrey, Benjamin (Brianna) McCaffrey, Katharine McCaffrey, and Hannah McCaffrey; his great-nieces and nephews, Lila, Thea, Quinn, and Rocco Crespo, Cormac, Nell, and Mary McCaffrey, Scarlett and Emmett McCaffrey, and Elle McCaffrey. A Catholic Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Ambrose Church in Avonmore, PA 15618, at a later date, followed by burial in Westview Cemetery in Avonmore. obituaries.triblive.com.
