Robert Hayes Obituary
Born October 30, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Orval Hayes and Annie Wilson Hayes. Attended public schools in Bountiful, Utah and graduated from Davis High School in 1951. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British Mission from 1954 – 1956.
Married MarLene Pettingill – later divorced. Married Joyce Maye Rasmussen, November 21, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Active member of the LDS Church having served faithfully in various callings.
Worked as a cosmotologist in Glendora, California. Also worked as be brick mason contractor and as a custodian for the LDS church until his retirement in 2000.
Bob loved trips to Disneyland and the Oregon Coast. He also loved a good joke.
Survived by his children: Kristi Hayes, Jeff Hayes, Cindy Hayes, Collne Wood, Robert S. Hayes and Mark Hayes; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Orval Kay Hayes and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Joyce, parents, brother James Harry Hayes, and sister Alice Jane Trejo.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , Friday, March 19, 2021 at Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful prior to services.
