Robert "Bob" Hill passed away on May 1, 2025. He was born to Roy and Genevieve (Schatchschober) Hill on December 20, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert Hill graduated from St. Benedict's High School in 1963. He went on to proudly serve the city of Chicago as a police officer for 29 years, receiving multiple honorable mentions throughout his career. Robert was the owner and operator of B&L Tile for 25 years. After retiring in 1995, he and his wife Lois relocated to Punta Gorda in 2006 to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Robert was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest and had a great sense of humor. He loved golfing, fishing, sharing a Miller Lite with friends, indulging in a good square-cut pizza, and challenging himself with crossword and sudoku puzzles. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his children, Kim (Daren) Mason and Keith (Amy) Hill; his grandchildren, Justin (Addie) Hill, Megan (Blake) Hill, and Shannon Mason; his brother, Leon (Audrey) Hill; his brother-in-law, Steve (Sandy) Morency; and his pseudo-son, Hosep (Gayane) Utas. He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lois (Morency) Hill; his parents, Roy and Genevieve (Schachtschober) Hill; and his sister, Joan Horner.

A visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. on May 3, 2025, with a service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda. A committal service with military honors at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
