Robert J. Hirsh

Robert J. Hirsh, age 72, of Millcreek Twp., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was born in Bethel Park, Pa. on July 26, 1952, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Fuchs) Hirsh.
Robert was a 1974 graduate of Gannon University. While at Gannon, he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He worked in customer service and sales at Lord Corporation for many years, and later at Erie Press Systems. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church where he volunteered at community functions, taught catechism, and was involved in many men's groups over the years. While his children attended Our Lady of Peace School, he was an active member of the parent teacher association, and a parent volunteer. He was an avid golfer for many years, golfing in local leagues and tournaments. He also contributed to the community as a youth soccer coach for the Erie Youth Soccer Association and OLP School.
Survivors include his loving wife Jean M. (Zmyslinski) Hirsh; one daughter, Jessica Pechhold, husband Bert, of Marblehead, Mass.; one son, Jeremy Hirsh, wife Lynn, of Swampscott, Mass.; three grandchildren, Monica Pechhold, Victor Pechhold and Lucas Hirsh; five siblings, Deborah Tulak, of Bethel Park, Michelle Hirsh, of Mt. Airy, Md., Daniel Hirsh, wife Monika, of Goodyear, Ariz., Matthew Hirsh, wife Kathryn, of Finleyville, Pa., and Edward Hirsh, of Twinsburg, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, June 27th from 8 to 10 a.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. A funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th St. at 10:30 a.m.
