Robert "Mike" Hisle, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 after a long battle with esophageal cancer. A retired typewriter, repairman and more recently, ATM Technician, he was originally from Lexington, Ky. He was an avid supporter of conservative issues, especially the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. He was an instructor for the KY CCDW program for 18 years, and lobbied for the law's passing in 1995. He had resided in the Lexington area, Covington, and Hollywood, FL. He attended Tates Creek and Hallandale High Schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mike is survived by his wife, Karan, son, Jacob and daughters, Hannah (Steven) Workman and Meagan (John) Hart. Grandchildren, Ethan Hisle, Michael Workman, Gabriel Workman, Luke Workman, Abby Workman and Miles Hart.
There will be a visitation for Mr. Hisle at Clark Legacy Center - Frankfort, on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10-12pm, funeral service at 12pm and burial to follow at The Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Second Amendment Foundation or The Kentucky Republican Party.

He was a second Dad to me growing up. I spent a lot of time with him, his wife Karen and children. His daughter Hannah was my best friend growing up and Mike was always there with us. I was invited on a family trip to Florida and he took us deep sea fishing and to all the fun things in the surrounding areas like Miami and Key West. I will never forget the time spent with him and all he did for us growing up. I send all my love and condolences. Rest in peace "Dad". I love you very much.
