I want to echo what I'm sure your family has heard countless times over the past couple of weeks, what an OUTSTANDING man Bob was. I chatted with him at CES events and applauded him on so many wonderful things I see under his leadership. Our family are long-time residents of the Schodack area and are on our 2nd round in the school system with grandkids now attending. Bob truly did make a big difference not only with the wonderful programs and educational part, but as an individual with the warmth and support anyone would give their eye teeth to have in their lives.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be on your family as your traverse this unforeseen path, hopefully buoyed in knowing what a difference your Bob made in this world.

Carol and Bob we lived two doors from you on Barkwood Lane in
Clifton Park. Bobby was a little gentlemen then, always had a smile on his face and that followed him through to manhood. Reading the paper article says a lot about the young man you raised. My deepest sympathy to both of you and the girls

My husband John and I both had the pleasure of working with Bob. He truly was an educator for the students, and a great mentor and friend to the faculty and staff. He was in every school everyday, smiling and greeting everyone with that huge contagious smile of his. Bob knew everyone by their name, and the students looked up to him and had great respect for him. When our son Brendan (class of 2008) was getting his senior picture taken he relealized he hadvsomething on his tie, so Bob let him wear his yellow and blue pattern tie for the pictures. We all will think of Bob everytime we look at Brendan's picture. Thank you for sharing him with all of us at SCSD!!! He will not be forgotten!! Heaven has received a wonderful angel. RIP Bob

Horan Family,
My deepest heart-felt condolence to your entire family. My children, my husband and I have had the privilege of knowing Mr. Horan as Superintendent of the Schodack Schools. He was not just the Superintendent, but a friend with a smiling face, who greeted everyone personally at every single function the district had. He never missed an event. I will always remember his smiling face, and hope you do the same during this difficult time. May God Bless him and keep him close to your hearts always.
