Robert Alan Hosier of Coopersburg, PA, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 76. He was an educator, coach, and mentor at Pennridge School District for over 49 years. Robert was born in Easton, PA, to William and Marie Hosier. Robert loved athletics and excelled at football at Easton Area High School, and was selected for the Big 33 Football Classic in Hershey, PA. Robert graduated from high school in 1967 and attended Gettysburg College, where he continued to play football and graduated in 1971 with a B.A. in Political Science. The following year, Robert followed up his education with a M.Ed. from Lehigh University.
In 1972, Robert began teaching and coaching at Pennridge School District, setting off a 49-year journey that gave his life immense purpose. Robert served as an assistant varsity Football coach from 1972 to 1990 and Head Football Coach from 1991-1996. From 1973 to 2022, he coached both spring and indoor track, achieving the position of Head Coach in 1984. Track coaching became his passion, and he coached numerous Pennsylvania State Medal winning teams including gold and silver medalists. In 2017, Robert was inducted into the Pennridge-Quakertown Hall of Fame.
In his personal life he married Andrea Lee Stassi (now deceased) in 1972, and had two sons, Mark and Andrew. Robert was an inspiring presence to his fellow teachers, athletes, and students. His affable nature and easy-going humor were gifts to his family, friends, and just about everyone that he encountered. Robert loved football since the age of 4 and athletics have always been a defining factor in his life.
Robert was an active participant in worship and activities at Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trumbauersville, PA. This site has been chosen for a service honoring Robert on a date in the near future. Any correspondence can be sent to 8536 Stock Drive, Lusby, MD.
Robert is survived by his sons, Mark and Andrew Hosier, along with their spouses Jessica (Mark) and Emilia (Andrew). Robert's grandchildren were the light of his life and will forever remember their "Pop-Pop." They are Landon, Isabella, Giada, Marie, and Andrea Hosier. Robert had one sibling, Donald Hosier, who lives in Nazareth, PA.
