DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA
Robert Douglas Huffstetler
Robert Douglas Huffstetler, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2026 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. Doug was born January 23, 1951 in Gaston County, NC, the only child of the late John Robert and Mary Gertrude Compton Huffstetler and was preceded in death by his stepmother, Shirley Huffstetler. He was a 1969 graduate of Hunter Huss High School and attended Gaston College. Doug was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he and his wife, Becky, have worshiped for the past 15 years. He worked as a purchasing agent with Precision Machine Products for 46 years until his well-earned retirement.
Doug’s most treasured time was spent being a devoted Husband to Becky, a proud Father to his son, Jason, a caring Father-in-law to Kristen, and a loving PawPaw to his grandchildren, Luke and Caroline. The Lord blessed Doug with many wonderful things in life, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren.
Doug’s hobbies included spending time with Jason and his friends on fishing trips, at dirt track races, and on the golf course. He also enjoyed vacationing at their beach house with Becky and making memories with his close friends, whom he considered family. Doug loved to make people laugh and was always ready to help anyone in need. Doug's memory will continue to warm the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
