Robert Hunt

Bob Hunt was born August 21st, 1939 in San Angelo, TX to Manette and Robert Hunt. He went to South Oak Cliff High School. He received a scholarship to play football at SMU where he earned numerous awards for his play on the field including being voted as Captain of his team, as well as in the classroom as Academic All-Conference honors. He earned his BA in Business and graduated in 1961. He was drafted after his senior year by the Baltimore Colts but decided to pursue a career in business.
He spent his career working in the transportation insurance industry. He started out with Transport Insurance Agency before starting his own company named Transportation Insurance Managers Association.
Bob had countless friendships throughout his life and was a devoted husband, father and friend and kept everyone entertained with his incredible sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, handball, golf and poker.
Bob is preceded in death by his daughter Hillary Hunt. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Joy Hunt, children Robert (wife Pamela), Michael, Lori (husband Rob), David (wife Angela), Brian (wife Shelbye). Bob is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Chase, Riley, Nathan, Austin, Caden, Madison, Marleigh and Keaton.
