Robert Hyde Obituary
Robert W. Hyde, Jr., 70, of Southington, died on Wednesday (January 24, 2024) while traveling through Texas. Bob was born on April 8, 1953 in Bristol and was the only child of the late Robert W. Hyde, Sr. and Jeanne (Stocks) Hyde. He was a lifelong resident of Southington where he graduated from Southington High School. He was a long-haul 18-wheel truck driver. He enjoyed his hot rods and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. His main hobby was collecting S-scale model trains and he loved dogs. Bob leaves his daughter: Liesha Espiritusanto; his long-time companion: Kristin Toth; and grand-dogs: Loki, Sylvester, Sadie, Freckie, and Gerri. Visiting hours are at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday (February 2, 2024) between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service 12 p.m. Burial will follow in St. West Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
