Robert Ihrke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center - Imlay City on Dec. 31, 2025.
Robert Karl Ihrke, age 63 a long-time resident of Dryden, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born March 24, 1962 the son of Donald and Lois (Akerman) Ihrke in Rochester, MI.
After graduating Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township, Robert continued his education in the trades, completing more than 70 technical courses and building skills that made him a master mechanic. In 2005, Robert transitioned to tool sales owning his own company, Sharob Tools, which he retired from in 2022.
He met and fell in love with Sharri (Gerhardt) and they were married October 11, 1985. Together they enjoyed spending most of their time at their second home in Lewiston, where Robert enjoyed snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes, taking the side by side out around their property and relaxing on the pontoon boat in nearby lakes. He was a volunteer trail groomer for the Lewiston Area Snowmobile Trail Groomers and had also spent years maintaining trails for the Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan. Robert was a lifelong Detroit Lions fan but if there wasn't a game on you could catch him watching Star Trek, westerns or vintage cartoons.
Robert leaves his loving wife Sharri Ihrke of Dryden, his daughter Jennifer "Jeni" Ihrke of Marquette and many extended family members, including Karen (Bryan) Capanyola, Ronald (Jill) Ihrke and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son Karl Robert Ihrke, his sister Cheryl Frketic and his parents Donald & Lois Ihrke.

Yesterday

I have so many memories of Christmas Eves and summer fun with my cousins growing up.

Rob and Ron were the typical younger brothers...loved to tease their sisters, ride bikes, race mini bikes, etc.

My heart goes out to everyone and I hope the memories of better times bring comfort.

Love,
Cousin Pam Ihrke Weaver

I was lucky to be one of Robs cousins. They say cousins are your first best friends and it was true for my brothers Dave and Paul, and I. We spent many vacations together growing up. Swimming in the pool and nights out in the tree house. The four boys, Rob, Ron, Dave, and Paul were everywhere and anywhere. Back when kids roamed!
As adults I kept up with Rob and his family through my Mom, Auntie Carol, who was fortunate to spend with Rob and Sharri and watch their family grow.
My heart is with you all, especially Sharri and Jen.
Your family mourns for you and with you. Love and peace from heaven to all of you. Cousin, Diane

Rob was the ultimate build it or fix it Dad which helped the Leo´s Club win the Soap Box Derby when Jeni was in high school. Rob was a strong and sarcastic guide whenever we needed help. I will especially miss his laugh which would crack up the room.
