Robert John "Bob" Imbs, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025, at the age of 84. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 56 years, Carol Robnett Imbs, and their beloved dog, Coco. He is also survived by his sons, Jason Imbs (wife Cara Duncan) and Jordan Imbs (wife Sonya Arnett); his four grandchildren - Jake and Addie (children of Jason and Cara), and Kai and Keit (children of Jordan and Sonya); and his sister-in-law, Linda Short. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Roy A. Imbs and Gladys E. Imbs, and his sister, Joyce Hathaway. Born on October 21, 1940, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Bob was of the Methodist faith. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Spencerian College in Milwaukee. After college, he served in the Wisconsin National Guard. Bob spent much of his career as a marketing executive, starting with Faber-Castell in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company later relocated him and his family to Tennessee. He went on to work for Pelikan Fine Writing Instruments in Franklin, Tennessee, and eventually concluded his career with Dixon Ticonderoga in Lake Mary, Florida. There, he contributed to the design of many of the company's innovative writing tools. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Bob's greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He often spoke of the years raising his family in Franklin, Tennessee as among the most meaningful of his life. In retirement, Bob gave back to the community by volunteering at numerous events in Orlando, especially those supporting SafeHouse for battered women and children. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In accordance with his wishes, a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life following cremation.
