Robert Dale Jaenicke

Robert "Rob" Dale Jaenicke, Jr., age 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 21, 2025. Rob was born on August 5, 1974, in Bay City, Michigan, to Robert and Linda Jaenicke.
Fellowship and a Celebration of Rob's life will take place at The Waterfrontoo (2205 North Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275.) on Sunday, June 1st at 11:00am.
Rob was a graduate of Central High School, he later moved to Sarasota, Florida, in 1999, where he met the love of his life, Stephanie, at Siesta Fiesta. They were married on August 8, 2008, in Bermuda. Rob was a proud husband and a devoted father to his two children, Jaxon and Jayden. Rob also played a key role in the family business-the Gourmet Pretzel Company-a name known and respected throughout Michigan.
Rob loved being home, especially with his family-he was a true homebody at heart. A lifelong knowledge-seeker, he had a deep appreciation for documentaries and learning, always eager to expand his understanding of the world and pass that knowledge on to his kids. He was not only a father but a mentor, dedicated to teaching his children about life with patience, care, and wisdom. He had a deep passion for golf and took great pride in both playing and teaching the game, particularly enjoying every opportunity to support and guide his son, Jaxon, on the course.
Generous to a fault, Rob was known for his big heart and willingness to help anyone in need. His presence was steady, his loyalty unwavering, and his kindness unforgettable. Rob will be remembered for the love he gave, the wisdom he shared, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Jaenicke; his children, Jaxon and Jayden; his parents, Robert and Linda Jaenicke; and his in-laws, Tom and Christine Lagopoulos. He is also survived by his sister Janel Sempre, his brother Jason (Sylvia) Jaenicke, Rich Jaenicke, and brother-in-law Eric Lagopoulos, along with several cherished nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Gendron Funeral Home in Sarasota and Squires Funeral Home in Bay City.
