Robert F. Janeski Sr.

Robert F. "Bob" Janeski, Sr., 79, of Salisbury passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at his home.
Born April 5, 1944, in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice (Figel) Janeski. His wife, Janice (Germeroth) Janeski passed away on October 8, 2008. They had celebrated 30 years of marriage.
Bob graduated from Kenwood High School, Essex, MD, class of 1962. He served in the US Army.
Bob retired from C&P Telephone/Verizon after a 37 year career. He was also an assistant baseball coach at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. Bob was recognized multiple times as Fruitland Volunteer of the Year. Bob was a former President of the Fruitland Little League, former President of Redmen's Lodge, Tony Tank Tribe #149, Fruitland and was active with the Wicomico Parks and Recreation Commission. He volunteered with numerous other groups throughout his community.
Survivors include five children, Tracey Janeski-Suter and her husband, Paul, of Westminster, MD, Robert Janeski, Jr. and his wife, Cherie, of West Palm Beach, FL, James Janeski and his wife, Megan, of Salisbury, MD, David Janeski and his wife, Samantha, of Hewitt, NJ and Jason Janeski and his wife, Lacey, of Fort White, FL; nine grandchildren, Christian Janeski, Bree and Bryce Suter, Aneile, Tyler, Nathan, Avery, Norah and Chloe Janeski; a great-granddaughter, Eliana Janeski; a sister, June Bowers; and a cousin, George Haslin.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 12 at 10:00 AM, in Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday, January 12 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Garden, Baltimore.
