Robert Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Feldhaus Memorial Chapel - Shelbyville from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10, 2025.
Robert Lee Johnson Jr., age 70, passed away on Monday, December 1st. He was born on August

14, 1954, in Jefferson County, Alabama, to the late Odie Kay Wells Johnson and Robert Lee

Johnson Sr. As a child, Robert moved from Alabama to Tennessee, where he made his home in

Bell Buckle. He attended Bell Buckle School before merging with Wartrace and forming

Cascade school. Athletic and energetic, Robert spent much of his youth on the basketball

court-he loved the game, and he loved to be loved.

Robert was one of four children and is preceded in death by his sister, Ava Smith. He is lovingly

remembered by his sisters, Mrs. Debra Taylor and Mrs. Wanda Miles, as well as his sister-in-law,

Shelia Tate.

A father and grandfather, Robert, is survived by his six children:

Troy Hughes, his two daughters and one son, and five grandchildren

Chris Hughes and his wife Regina Hughes, and their two daughters

Latitia Morton and her husband Tim Morton, their three sons, and two grandchildren

Brian Farrell and his wife Monique Farrell, and their three sons and two daughters

Camron Farrell and his wife Nicole Farrell, and their two daughters

Sherita Johnson, and her two daughters

Robert faithfully served his community through his many dedicated years with the Bedford

County Sheriff's Office. Outside of his career, he cherished time spent with friends-especially

playing cards and enjoying good company. His greatest joy came from watching his

grandchildren play sports and hearing about all their interests and accomplishments.

A proud and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Alabama Crimson Tide, Robert never

missed a chance to cheer on the teams he loved.

Robert's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep dedication to family. He will be

profoundly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
