Michael Chauncey Moss

Michael Chauncey Moss was born on July 4, 1966, in Nashville, TN, at Meharry Medical Center

to parents Shirley Ann Johnson Moss and William Edward Moss. His maternal grandparents

were Martha and Cecil Johnson, and his paternal grandparent, Florence Moss. He peacefully

departed this life on December 11, 2025, after a brief illness.

Affectionately known as Shaun, he graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 1984. He

was a sports fanatic, playing football while in school and later coaching youth football. He was a

devout Christian and a member of Sevier Street First Baptist in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Shaun

enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the Seaman Apprenticeship Program in Great Lakes, Illinois, in

1990 and was released honorably after serving four years. His passions included riding

motorcycles and being an avid car enthusiast. He loved grilling, cooking, and sharing his love for

food with his friends and family. Above it all, Shaun's love and loyalty to family and friends

were immeasurable. He was always there to listen and give guidance without judgment, always

giving the hard truth.

Shaun was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Moss; father, William Edward Moss;

daughter-in-law, Jessica Scales Moss; grandchildren, Kenzell Hiles and Micah Robinson.

To cherish his memory, Shaun leaves his loving and devoted partner, Angie Barrie; daughter,

LaShonda Moss (Jeremy Fishback); son, Skacey Moss (Kalynn Ferrell); sisters, Sandy March

(Lawrence), Shannon Moss (Dennis); nieces, Kwanza Pillow (Teddy), Jameka Braden (Denxel);

nephew, Ja-Kobe March; 26 grandchildren; bonus children, Chris Harris, Jr., Conard Harris,

Tori, Nikki, Kayla, Natalie, and Eric; 2 great grandchildren, and a host of devoted aunts, uncles,

cousins, and friends; special dedicated cousin/brother, Earl Garner (Vita).

Visitation will be held at Fairlane Church of Christ, 101 Dow Dr., Shelbyville, TN, Saturday,

December 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Visitation with the family from 12:00 p.m.

until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2391 Nashville Highway, Columbia, TN.

Repass will be at Fairlane Church of Christ following the Interment services.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, Shelbyville, TN is in charge of services.
