Robert Stanley Jones

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Stanley Jones, a beloved resident of Lizella, Georgia, who left this world peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on Sunday, October 28, 1951, in Macon, Georgia, Stanley created a lifetime of memories with those he loved.

Stanley proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His commitment to service continued in his civilian life through his hardworking and dedicated career as a truck driver. Known for his strong work ethic and jovial spirit, he brought smiles to those he met along his travels.

A man who delighted in the simple pleasures, Stanley enjoyed the thrill of NASCAR and drag racing, the excitement of yard sales, and peaceful days spent fishing. He loved collecting unique treasures and was known for his contagious humor that brightened the lives of many. Stanley held a deep and unwavering love for his late mother, Betty Kathryn Renfroe Jones, a bond that remained one of the most cherished parts of his life.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Amanda Jones; his brother, Wesley Jones (Lucy); his sisters, Linda Spires (Terry) and Nancy Stedman (Tommy); and his granddaughter, Kierra Jones, who will forever remember his presence in their lives. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Leon Jones, his mother, Betty Kathryn Renfroe Jones, and his sister, Kay Brooks.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the FairHaven Chapel, where we will gather to honor and remember Stanley’s life. Immediately following, Mr. Jones will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Michah Carr will be officiating all services. 

Stanley Jones will be remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude for the joy he brought to those who knew him. May he rest peacefully.
