Robert J. Kasper Sr.

Robert J. Kasper Sr., 83, of Honesdale and formerly of Secaucus, NJ, died on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Ann Marie Petroziello. The couple married on April 1, 1967.

Born on October 15, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Frank and Emily Tomaro. He was a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

Bob later worked as a mechanic for UPS. After 20 years with UPS, he later worked in construction and at the VFW in Honesdale. A proud veteran, he was the former commander for the VFW Post 531 and American Legion Post 254. He was always willing to help fellow veterans get to their medical appointments out of the area.

After settling in Honesdale, Bob and Ann enjoyed raising and breeding horses. For over 30 summers, Bob would work at the Wayne County Fair. He also enjoyed helping children with special needs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Kasper Jr. and wife Kasey of Highland Lakes, NJ; his daughter, Linda Kasper of Secaucus, NJ; his sisters, Patty Balzano and Carol Bergman both of FL; grandchildren, Jaclyn Kasper, Michael Kasper and Natalie Arrabito; great grandchild, Isabella Torres.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Kasper; a sister, Dorothy Castellano.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 31st at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 4 o'clock. The family will receive friends Thursday, 2 until the time of service.
