It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert William Keating, a beloved father, sibling, and friend, who left this world on September 6, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. Born on May 16, 1964, to Catherine Hulin (Floyd) and Glenn Keating (Callie) in the same cherished town, Robert filled the lives of those around him with love, laughter, and an undeniable spirit for the outdoors.
Robert was a passionate man, who found great joy in camping, hunting, and exploring nature. His love for the great outdoors was a defining trait, reflecting his adventurous soul and his desire for a life well-lived. He possessed exceptional skills as a mechanic, and it was common to see him lending a helping hand to friends and family, always ready with a smile and a tool in hand.
He leaves behind two loving children, Shane Lynch (Jessica) and Marianne Lynch (Chris), who carry forward his kindness and adventurous spirit.
Robert was deeply cherished by his siblings: Judy Ezell (Mike), Wesley Keating (Sabrina), Deborah Crockett (David), Patricia Sharp (Terry), Floyd Hulin Jr. (Rhonda), and Michael Keating (Angela). He also found joy in the company of his step-siblings Louise Hidalgo (Craig), Carol Mendoza (Noe), Terri Tolbert (Todd), Laura Sampson, and Claude Hulin. Together, they shared countless memories and forged bonds that would withstand the tests of time.
Uncle Robert was adored by many nieces and nephews, including Eddie Jr., Cody, Justin, Christy, Mikie, Stephanie, Courtney, Eric, Whitney, Richelle, Bridgett, Casey, Davy, Katie, Vicki, Matthew, Ryan, Ashton, James, Lane, Misty, Brandi, Corey, Jaysin, Adriana, Gabby, Tito, Jennifer, and Hope. Each of them carries the gift of his laughter and love, as well as the lessons he imparted about life, family, and the meaning of true relationships. He took immense pride in his grandchildren, Braden Lynch, Briley Lynch, and Hendrix Hunt, soaking up every moment he spent with them, cherishing the legacy he built through his family.
Robert now reunites with his beloved spouse, Kathleen Keating, and his late brother, Eddie Keating.
A visitation will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana, providing family and friends an opportunity to honor and celebrate Robert's life.
