An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he was a member of the Yorkanna Game and Gunning Club.
Funeral services: Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Friends may view at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Committal services will be held in Mount Rose Cemetery, York, PA on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
Robert A. Kling, 75 of York, formerly of Columbia passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. Born in York, he was the son of the late Charles S. Sr. and Catherin Smith Kling.
A graduate of Eastern High School, he was employed at Burnham Corp., Lancaster. For many years, Bob coached little league baseball for the Columbia Boys Athletic Association. An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he was a member of the Yorkanna Game and Gunning Club. In addition, he was an ardent fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
He will be missed by his daughter, Wendy L. Shoster; four grandchildren, Benjamin Nutter (Tovah), Richie Eppley (Emily), Kara Eiceman (Joshua), Kalli Shoster (Scott Aschenbrenner); great grandchildren, Ava, Max, Mya and Kynsey; siblings, Trina Kling and Charles S. Kling, Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Michael Kling.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark S. Kopp, officiating. Friends may view at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be held in Mount Rose Cemetery, York, PA on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the C.B.A.A, PO Box 372, Columbia, PA 17512.
