Robert had a passion for working with his hands building and fixing things around his home and especially at his beloved summer camp on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY where he loved to spend time with his family.

In addition to his parents Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Jean Borden Kmieciak whom he married on July 7, 1966, she passed away on November 9, 2017; his son-in-law, Frederick Mastrogiovanni, Jr.; and a brother, William Kmieciak.
