Robert W. Kollett

Robert W. Kollett, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford after a short illness.
Bob was born in 1952, the son of the late Raymond and Doris (Boisvert) Kollett, and he grew up surrounded by the love and camaraderie of his siblings. He is survived by his siblings, Russell Kollett and his wife Mary of Uxbridge, James Kollett and his wife Christine of Douglas, Elaine Hall and her husband Joseph of Blackstone, and Jeffrey Kollett and his wife Dawn of Uxbridge. Bob's life was further enriched by the affection and laughter of his several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and 29 first cousins.
Bob had friends throughout the Blackstone Valley. After growing up in Uxbridge, Bob resided in Forest View and Crescent Manor in Grafton, Alternatives Group Home in Medway, Oak Ledge Terrace and Ducharme Estates in Blackstone, and Cedarwood Gardens in Franklin. He attended the former Northbridge Trade School in Northbridge. In his younger years, he was employed for several years at the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham.
Bob's interests were a reflection of his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He made friends easily and he loved calling family members to share news of births and deaths or to wish them happy birthday or happy holiday. He had a phenomenal memory and never forgot anyone's birthday. He also enjoyed the holidays surrounded by family and the giving and receiving of gifts. His enthusiasm for cars led him to spend many enjoyable hours at car shows and was always ready for a road trip. In his earlier days, Bob had once played the trombone, and the joy of music stayed with him throughout his life.
Above all, Bob loved his family and extended family deeply. He was a constant at family gatherings, where his gentle demeanor and warm smile were a comfort around the dinner table.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM in the Buma Funeral Home,101 N. Main Street, Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
Funeral services will be Friday December 6, 2024 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge.
