Robert Andrew Lacko

Robert Andrew Lacko, age 65, of Oxford entered into rest on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 7 years to Karen Zibelin-Lacko. Bob was born in Bridgeport, on September 29, 1958, son of the late Andrew John and Julia (Stets) Lacko.
He started his career as a Composite Technician before becoming an engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft. During his 38 years of employment, he patented 12 inventions. Bob was an avid Ford enthusiast who took great pride in getting the best deals possible for him and his family. He enjoyed being in his garage working on all types of automobiles in which he became a self-taught master mechanic. Most of all, he loved spending time on Lake Zoar with his beloved wife Karen and their friends.
Bob was the loving father of Christopher Robert Lacko and Shannon Leigh Mendoza, cherished grandfather of Harlow Delorfano and brother of Kenneth Lacko, Julie Lacko, Sally Petrino and the late Ronald Lacko and half-brother of John Lacko of Sarasota, FL. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
On Tuesday, friends may call from 3:00 to 6:30 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. His funeral service will follow at 6:30 PM at the parlor. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
