Robert Lagasse Obituary
He was born September 19, 1933, in Old Town, Maine, the son of Louis C. and Lillian M. (LaForge) Legasse.
He retired from the US Air Force on August 31, 1979, after serving 27 years.
He is survived by his wife Donna M. Lagasse of 67 years; his children, Renee Jeanne Lagasse and wife Linda Bridges, Anne Marie Lagasse, Stephen Robert Lagasse and his wife Robin; he also has one grandson Ryan Robert Laughlin.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son Michael Wayne Lagasse; his sister, Evangeline Bond; two brothers, Louis Philip Legasse and Arthur A. Legasse.
At his request no services have been scheduled at this time.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Crosby & Neal Funeral Homes & Cremation Care, 117 Main St., Newport, Maine.
Donations may be made in Robert's memory to the American Cancer Society

Dear Donna and Family,
We're so sorry for your loss, and I'm very sad that I didn't keep in touch with Bob. I should have made time to visit him.
It was such an honor to know and work with Bob for a number of years. He was so kind, intelligent and genuine a person. I learned so much from him just in conversation. I used to watch him solve the BDN crossword in 10 minutes or less, IN INK. I never cared for tomatoes, until I tried the ones he grew. So many great memories of the time I spent with Bob. He was truly amazing.
