Robert Langley

Dr. Robert Langley, the son of Helen Jones and Cornelius Langley, was born on December 4, 1958. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at home surrounded by his wife Pamela, son Brandon, and brother in-law Dennis White.
Robert received his formal education in the public school system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1976 from University High School in the Independent Study Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Lincoln University on May 4, 1980. He received his degree, Doctorate of Philosophy on May 11,1985 at Howard University. He returned to Lincoln University and would begin his career teaching for 35 years.
Robert met the love of his life Pamela and son Brandon. They were united in holy matrimony on August 15, 1992. Together, for 33 years they created lasting memories with family and special friends Clay, Sal, and Mike.
Robert was an avid sports fan and especially loved to support his son by attending all of his school events. Robert was also a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Robert was affectionately known by many names including Pop, Robert, and Dr. Langley. His love for family and friends was so genuine. He opened his heart and home to many family members and friends.
He was supportive in every way he could be especially offering words of advice and encouragement. He would share about his life and any mistakes he made to help others. If he considered you as a friend, you were a friend forever.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Fields, brother Samuel Jones, and brother in-law David White, and sister in-law Delores H. White nephew Lamar Jones, and brother in-law Charles A. Hunter.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Pamela Langley, son Brandon White, brothers James Jones (Linda), Walter Green (Mary), Patricia Jones (Henry), in-laws Dolores Hall, Jean Trahan (Bob), Dennis White, Lionel White, Forrest White, Marge Baker (Don), Monica Johnson, Toni Ferrell (Eudon), Camilla Hunter (Charles). Nieces Nydeah Brown (Ricky), Loveland Luster (Lerone), Yolanda Fields, nephews Gilbert L. Fields, Lawrence Minor Jr., Tyson A hunter (Carmen) James Jones Jr (Janelle), grandchildren Ahmya, Robinson, TaBrea White, Briella, Demi, and grandson BJ., a special Aunt in-law Ida White-Hill (Jimmy) of Avondale, Pennsylvania, his nephew, Terry "Frank" Baker and a host of friends, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life for Dr. Robert Langley will be on March 15, 2025 at 11:00am at the Lincoln University Chapel,1570 Baltimore Pike Lincoln University, Pennsylvania 19352.
