Robert P. Lesche

Robert P. Lesche, 69, of Wyomissing, passed away in his residence on October 26, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Ludwigsburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Mary L. (Koller) Lesche. The family immigrated to the United States in June 1958, and Bob became a citizen in November 1968. He graduated from Wilson High School. Bob was a mechanic. Racing was Bob's passion, though he enjoyed motorsports of all kinds. Bob was a member of Wayne Witmer Dirt Sports crew. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Strausstown Rod and Gun Club as well as member of the Berkshire Heights Fire Company. Left to treasure his memory are his daughter, Loretta M. Lesche of Palmyra; his son, David Smith of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, Damien Lesche and Hailey Foster. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Nowack, widow of Rick, of Exeter, and their children, Brandi Jones and Ricky Nowack, and his sister, Sylvia Warner, wife of Dean, of Wyomissing, and her son, Robert Koller, his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Brianna. Robert's family expresses particular appreciation for his best friend, Wayne Witmer, and his family, who did so much for Bob and was always there for him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA 19611, with visitation from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com
