Robert was born on Aug. 15, 1947, in St. Paul, the son of Wilbur and Harriette G. (Beck) Leth. Bob grew up in Cotesfield and attended Cotesfield School through the 8th grade, and graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1965. He then attended Milford Technical School where he received a degree in Building Technology.

He was united in marriage to Leona M. Wroblewski on Aug. 24, 1968, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Paplin. The couple lived in Lincoln, where he worked for Gould Industries, building cabinets. The couple later moved to a farm near Garland where he worked for Tuma Construction in Seward.

In 1971, the family moved to a farm at Cotesfield, where he raised cattle and hogs, and built cabinets. In 1997, he went to work for Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked until retiring in 2016. He and Leona continued to live on the farm until the time of his passing.

He served on the Cotesfield School Board and the Cotesfield Elevator Board. He also played softball for the Cotesfield Town Team for many years.

Bob enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, sudoku, catching up on the local news and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Leona of Cotesfield; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Marlin Kimle of Kenesaw; and son, Andy Leth of Cotesfield; and six grandchildren, Kassie Kimle, Blake Kimle, Keighlin Leth, Keliese Leth, Kreyton Leth and Kaulden Leth; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; as well as, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Harriette; an infant son, Mark Leth; infant sister, Judy Leth; and his in-laws, Albin and Alta Wroblewski; and two brothers-in-law, Kenny Wilson and John Wroblewski.
