Robert Harold Lewis October 31, 1940 – June 16, 2025
Robert Harold Lewis, 84, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025.
Born and raised in Bon Aqua, Robert was shaped by the values of a close-knit rural community and a large extended family whom he cherished and mentioned often. He graduated from Dickson County High School, Lipscomb College, and went on to earn his law degree. Thereafter, he became a widely respected trial lawyer in middle Tennessee for 54 years.
Outside of his legal work, Robert was a man of many passions. He was an avid golfer, ardent bird hunter, and lifelong fan of classic country music. Above all, he was a man of deep Christian faith, guided by scriptures such as Psalm 23 and Isaiah 40:31. His sharp wit, generous spirit, and tender heart will leave a lasting impact in the lives of his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Elsie (Rice) Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lewis; his children, Robert Lewis Jr., Cyndi (Ryan) Killeen, Lon (Hallie) Lewis; his grandchildren, Nora Killeen, Penelope Lewis, Mabileen Lewis, and Franklin Lewis; his sister, Sandra (Jim) Overstreet, and nephews, nieces, and cousins that he loved.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Bon Aqua Church of Christ Cemetery.
Robert's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
