Robert W. Lierman, fondly known as Bob, was born on September 22, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He departed on June 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and a steadfast commitment to his family and community.

Bob defined vocational excellence through his multifaceted career as a Police Sergeant with the Cincinnati Police Department, a mechanic, and a business owner. In his role as Sergeant in the Police Traffic Unit, he meticulously planned security routes for high-profile individuals, including Walter Mondale and George Bush, ensuring their safety with professionalism and diligence. Bob was integral in establishing the Cincinnati Police Mounted Patrol Unit, a testament to his dedication to the community he served.

Those who knew him will forever cherish his warmth and humor. He had an uncanny ability to light up a room with his jovial spirit, often calling his loved ones to check in with a simple, yet heartfelt, “Hey hon, how are you?” Breakfasts were a cherished ritual for him, especially at Bob Evans or Crossroads, where he delighted in the company of family and friends. Bob was always eager to lend a hand with projects, exemplifying his readiness to uplift those around him. His wise words to his sons echoed his loving nature: "Never tell your wife she looks fine, say she looks beautiful!" A true jokester at heart, he possessed an unwavering resolve to keep moments lighthearted and joyful.

Bob’s pillar of strength was his beloved wife, Dorothy Ann Lierman (Maiden Dickhaus). Together, they nurtured a beautiful family. He is survived by their children, Jeffrey (Mary Rose) Lierman and Christopher (Molly) Lierman, who carry forward his spirit. The joy of being a grandfather filled Bob with immense pride; he is also survived by his grandchildren Hannah, Michael, Sarah, Alexander and Julia. His great-grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Levi and Molly Grace were a source of endless joy, and he made it a point to be present for every meaningful moment, celebrating milestones such as the day his son Jeff got engaged to Mary Rose.

Bob was also supported by his dear sister, Deonna, and brother, Dale, who stand alongside the cherished memories shared as a family. Though he has left this world, he is reunited with his parents, Robert C. and Verna Lierman, and siblings Greg Lierman and Pam Brock , who await him with open arms.

The memory of Bob will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him. A man who showed up without fail for birthdays, engagements, and laughter-filled gatherings, his work ethic and love for life were etched into the very fabric of his existence. As we gather to celebrate his life, we reflect on the joy he brought to so many, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
