Mr. Robert Litvin, 94, of Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation & Nursing Center surrounded by family. He was born in Berlin on February 24, 1931 the son of the late Roman and Elizabeth Litvin and attended local schools before entering the United States Army. As part of his military service, he had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe. For many years, Bob was employed by Canadian National Railway where he retired in 1995 with the position of Manager. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching Boston sports teams on TV especially football and basketball. He loved traveling to the ocean, having spent a lot of time at Old Orchard Beach, ME and several winters in West Palm Beach, FL area. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his step-daughters: Lucille Nadeau and husband Marcel and Carolyn Scarinza, all of Florida; his grandchildren: Janet Leavitt and husband Mark of Milan, Lisa Sprague of Hooksett, NH, Brian Saucier of and wife Jennifer Concord, NH and Donna Sudol and husband Duane of Concord, NH; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including several to whom he was very close: Carolyn St. Hilaire of Nashua, NH, Sharon Bott and husband Raymond of Henderson, NV, Gail Doyon and husband Michael of Nashua, NH and Timothy Forestall and wife Nancy of Harrison, ME and Betty Forestall of Gorham, NH as well as extended family.
He was predeceased by his wife Jeannette; siblings: Mike Kluchnick, John Kluchnick, Peter Kluchnick, Paul Kluchnick, Sr., Sully Kluchnick, Vera Barbin, Elizabeth Forestall, Mildred Dupuis, William Litvin, Sr and Mary Jewell.
A Graveside Service will be held on a future date to be announced. At his request, there will be no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Activities Fund, 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH 03570. Arrangements are in the care of Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH.
